Help Us Bring More Family Physicians to Kingston

This week I’m asking for our community’s help in our efforts to bring more family physicians to Kingston. Over the last few years I’ve heard from many residents across our community about the difficulty in finding a doctor. It’s clear to me that we have a family physician shortage. However, we will need the support and assistance of the provincial government to address this problem. We need to demonstrate how many Kingstonians are currently without a doctor in our effort to convince decision makers at the provincial level.

This is where I need your help. If you are without a family physician, it’s important that you contact Health Care Connect, a provincial agency that keeps track of how many people do not have a doctor. Please encourage your friends and family who are also without a family physician to do the same. You can reach them at 1-800-445-1822 or at the following link: https://hcc3.hcc.moh.gov.on.ca/HCCWeb/faces/layoutHCCSplash.jsp.

The more people who contact Health Care Connect, the stronger the case we will have when we ask the province for more support to recruit family physicians to Kingston.
